Possibility vs. Probability

Hello dears!

Something I've been thinking about lately is my belief in the improbable. First, before I delve into this, I want to state that I am a devout Christian and my faith is the most important thing in my life- if I learn more about this and discover something Biblically that speaks against anything I mention in this post, I will change my view point.

 Now, let's begin. :)

So, now if you know me even partially well, you probably know I love dinosaurs (obviously real, haha!), dragons, mythic creatures (obviously not real), and cryptids.

 Cryptid; noun
"An animal whose existence or survival is disputed or unsubstantiated, such as the yeti." source

I like this idea that we are just one thing on this crazy world. Which, I mean, we obviously are, but I love learning about big creatures. It's exhilarating and terrifying to think of mammoth beasts walking the earth.
When I began to get into cryptids, I was extremely doubtful. And technically, I still am. I'm not a die-hard believer that these creatures are real, but I do think that it's possible that these creatures exist.

There is so much area unexplored- ESPECIALLY in the ocean, where supposedly only 5% or so of it has been completely 'discovered'- that we find new species- mostly small animals- all the time!

I also think that God has a plan for all of his creatures, and that we, as humans, do not know the extent of his wondrous creation. God put Adam in charge of the creatures of the earth, and he named them, but so far down the line, after the Great Flood and everything, surely we do not know all of the creatures that were originally roaming the earth, and surely there are more extinct species than we know of.

I am a FIRM believer that dragons did once exist (however, more dinosaur-like than fairytale-like) and am open to the possibility of many other creatures existing or having existed.
However, some of these creatures seem obviously made up, silly, and frivolous. This is where the name of this post comes into play.

I am 100% open to the possibility of these creatures existing, however the probability of many of them existing is probably lower than 1%.

Anyways, that's my rambling for the day. It's just something that has been on my mind lately, and I felt led to talk about it on here a bit.

Ciao!
Hannah
