My 15-Minute Beauty Routine

Hello y'all!

Today I'm going to share my 15-minute beauty (or lack thereof) routine with you! I do this a lot when I'm too lazy or tired to get out bed and need a quick way to look half put together before leaving the house.

I do some stuff that's a little different so obviously this isn't a routine everyone can follow, but I find it fun to read what peoples' routines are, so I thought maybe you all would too. Or maybe I'm just a weird person. ;)

Step One:
The first thing I always start doing is to wash my face. It's always good for your skin and it's nice to start with a clean slate, you know? I just use water, and every so often cleanser. If I use soap my face dries out really bad, so I try to avoid it as much as possible.

Step Two:
After I wash my face, then I move onto brushing my teeth, brushing my hair, and putting on perfume. Lately I've been digging Rue21's Revert Festival perfume. It's this mango-hinted sweet perfume and I love the summer vibes I get from it.

Step Three:
Next, I use rosewater spray on my face. I don't know if it really does anything, but I like the smell and it makes my skin feel nice.

Step Four:
Next, I start my make up with doing my eyebrows. I always e.l.f. eyebrow pens because they are FANTASTIC, and it's the only brand I've found that has a color that doesn't look weird on my eyebrows.

Step Five:
The next part of my make up is to use a light shade of eyeshadow across my lid and then a darker shade in the crease and blend it slightly, and then add a swipe of mascara to my eyelashes. Then I throw on any jewelry and if I'm wearing a head covering (post coming soon on that) that day, I put it on.
And that's it! It's a pretty simple routine, but it works and doesn't take forever, but I still feel more put together than leaving as soon as I roll out of bed, haha!

What's your simple morning routine? Drop a comment, I'd love to know!

Ciao for now,
Hannah

Cheap & Easy Clothing Hacks

Hello lovelies!

Today I'll be sharing some tips, tricks, and tools to use to help you style your clothes, save money while buying new clothes, or even repurpose your old clothing!

1) PAIRING CROPPED CLOTHING
Cropped clothing is super cute, and we all know it. However, for both modesty reasons and/or personal convictions or feelings, sometimes it feels much too revealing. To help curb this, pair a cropped tee or hoodie with a lacey cami, or even a pair of ultra high-waisted jeans.

2) STINKY SHOES NO MORE Use dryer sheets or heavily-scented tea bags in your shoes overnight and they'll smell better by the morning!

3) DOWNSIZE YOUR CLOSET

If you downsize your closet to a few key outfits (I generally think 1 per day) and a few extra special pieces if need be (that skirt you never wear but just can't bear to part with... I got you, girl.), and just keep a few good accessories and you can mix and match like crazy to create countless new outfit combos.

4) THRIFT STORES ARE YOUR FRIEND

Thrift stores are a gift from above- try to find out-of-the-way and/or privately owned ones, rather than main-stream ones like Goodwill to find cheap- and sometimes high-brand- pieces.

5) USE YOUTUBE TO FIND DIYS YouTube and Pinterest have ton of easy DIY's on how to snip, sew, and glue your old clothes into something totally new and exciting.

6) GO MONOCHROME

Wearing all one color in varying shades is a chic and easy way to look high fashion for cheap.

7) T-SHIRTS + SCARVES, BELTS, AND RIBBON

Using belts, scarves, or even thick ribbon is a super cute way to cinch in oversize tees.

8) TIGHT AND LOOSE

If you're going to wear leggings, wear a slightly-big t-shirt or blouse. If you're wearing a form-fitting shirt, wear a loose skirt or flared jeans. Pick one thing to accentuate and focus on that section of your body.

9) KNOW YOUR SALES

Pay attention to your favorite clothing brand's sales, credits, and other such things. If you like dark clothing and shop a lot at Hot Topic, figure out when they're doing the best "Hot Cash" deals. If you're like me and are a sucker for Rue 21, look at their sale section, they have a ton of clothes ranging from $3.00 to $20.00 (everything from tanks to coats to skirts to jeans).

10) MOST IMPORTANTLY, KNOW YOURSELF.

Study your body type, skin tone, and hair + eye color to figure out what looks the best on you. For example, if you're like me, short but wide, vertical stripes and the color red look really good on me. But most of all, just wear what you feel confident in, and nothing else matters. :)

Ciao!

My Make Up Must-Haves

Hello lovelies!

Today I'll be sharing all of my "make up must-haves"- just products I use super frequently & love! :)

babyPOP! clear lipgloss
L.A. Colors
I love clear lip gloss, but often what you find is super-pricey high end stuff from places like Glossier, MAC, and such. I was in one of our local dollar stores, and found this for $0.50! A little goes a long way, and it smells like the kind of lip gloss that was really popular in the 2000's, so a little bit of a throwback there. :)

 Bella J. lip gloss
Bella J. Candles
I got these at a discount store, and honestly, I'm not sure where else you can find them- I've done a ton of research and it seems the company has seemingly disappeared, or perhaps it was a limited-time thing. Either way, I love these lip glosses dearly.

Wet N' Wild Cosmetics
I love this mascara so much! It's not clumpy, it doesn't smell weird, and I really like the brush. I do have to reapply every so often because even the waterproof version isn't totally fail-safe against rain/sweat/etc, but it still works really well and looks very nice.

This is my favorite eyeliner I've ever used! I don't react to it, it goes on smoothly, and if you're up for it, it can make very nice wings. It's nice & dark, and very pretty. It's also quite cheap!

 Make Up Remover Wipes
various brands
I don't have a regular brand I use, but these are fantastic for days you just want to get your make up off quick (and for performances, formal events, work, etc, when you need a quick touch-up).

Blackheart Beauty (Hot Topic)
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this pallet! It is totally gorgeous. The colors are stunning, with a nice variation of shades. There is some fall-out and a few shades aren't all that blendable, but that's my only complaint. My favorites are Moon Dust, Nebula, Asteroid, and Black Hole.

AOA Studio (Miss A)
Smooth color, great spooly, nice grip, very little smudging, and the two very best parts...? It's cruelty free and only $1.00! I love Miss A, and their AOA line is amazing. This is the only beauty product I absolutely WON'T leave the house without using. It's amazing!
